Treatment reports detail work undertaken on the object by the conservator. It is an important document for the client to hold, for information on the object and as a future reference of work undertaken. Client requirements guide the contents of the report. Treatment reports commonly include the type of information our services can provide below:

Services
  • Object identification – material type, measurements, date, maker
  • Detailed description of the object condition prior to treatment
  • Identification of any past conservation treatments
  • Information on preliminary tests, if required
  • Description of the treatment proposal

  • Annotated photographs taken before, during and after treatment.
  • Aftercare recommendations for the object’s environment, handling, storage and display

Client consent is sought before any images are used for social media and website purposes.
